Finding Bases

Finding the right base is the first crafting step. Use trade filters to isolate the base family first, then search for the exact base name, item level, sockets, or fractured and corrupted state you actually want to buy.

Use Path of Exile 2 Trade to strip the search down to the raw base type. For example, to find the best pure evasion body armour base, search normal body armours with no quality, no Armour, no Energy Shield, and no augmentable sockets.

FilterSettingWhy
Item categoryBody ArmourKeeps the search focused on body armour bases.
Item rarityNormalRemoves magic, rare, and unique items so base stats are easier to compare.
Item qualityMax 0Shows the raw base instead of quality-inflated armour values.
EvasionMin 1Requires an Evasion base; the Armour and Energy Shield max filters below make it pure Evasion.
ArmourMax 0Removes Armour and hybrid Armour bases.
Energy ShieldMax 0Removes Energy Shield and hybrid Energy Shield bases.
Augmentable SocketsMax 0Removes socketed listings so the search compares clean bases.

With those filters, the best evasion body armour base shown by the local item data is Slipstrike Vest, which has 519 Evasion Rating and requires Level 70, 121 Dex.

After identifying the base, loosen the search for real purchases. Add the item level, sockets, price, corruption, or other requirements needed for the craft.
