Breach

This setup farms Breach maps with Breach Tablets, monster Effectiveness, and extra rare monsters. The baseline version runs regular Unstable Breaches for Breach Splinters, Wombgifts, experience, and Breach drops. When Hives or Strongholds are revealed, swap the Tablet priorities toward Hiveblood, Wombgift, and Hive-specific modifiers.

The Doryani and biome choices below are strategy recommendations for this setup, not a complete proof that they are always optimal.

Overview

Breaches are timed monster encounters. Unstable Breaches open briefly, and killing Breach monsters keeps them open longer. After enough kills, the Breach stabilises and stronger monsters arrive at the centre. Killing those centre monsters completes the Unstable Breach.

This guide is built around making normal Breaches more valuable. Wombgifts are a primary part of the farm, and the rare-monster setup adds another layer of value through Monster Effectiveness, Monster Rarity, and experience when your character can clear safely.

Breach Hives are a different objective. In a Hive, Ailith helps destroy the centre while Breach monsters attack her. Protecting Ailith until the centre is destroyed removes the Hive. Because Hives care more about waves, Wombgifts, and Hiveblood, they use different Tablet suffixes than regular Breaches.

How to Access Breach

Use Breach Tablets on the map nodes you plan to run. Breach Tablets add an Otherworldy Breach to affected maps and have 10 uses.

Complete regular Breaches to build Splinters and reveal follow-up Breach content. Reactive Hiveseeding gives completed Breaches a 10% chance to add a Hive to a nearby map. Use regular Breaches to feed that loop, then switch into the Hive setup when the Atlas reveals a good target.

Atlas Master

Choose Doryani for this version of the farm. The recommended Doryani route is the top-left box cluster:

Evolutionary Pressure	Adds Item Rarity, Monster Effectiveness, and rare monster modifier chance per explicit modifier on the map. This makes strong Waystones scale better.
Stitch the Flesh	Your maps have an additional Revival. This is the safety pick while learning or pushing juiced maps.
Disengaged Safeties	Map areas are Irradiated. Use it when you can handle the added pressure.
Improved Calibration	Waystones have 25% more effect of Prefix Modifiers or Suffix Modifiers when opening maps. This is a direct multiplier for good Waystone rolls.

Atlas Tree

The main Atlas tree supports Breach by adding valuable map content and making Biome Mastery choices line up with your target maps.

On the Breach Atlas tree, take the choices that improve rare Breach monsters, Wombgifts, Hives, and Strongholds.

Wombgifts	Use Lavish Wombgift as the likely best general option for this farm.
Tear Open the Rift	Use the option that consumes an additional Breachstone, if able, so Breach Strongholds add modifiers to revealed maps.
Sole Purpose	Select 50% increased number of skills created by Ailith within Breach Hives.
Moment of Risk	Adds Wombgift level upside from explicit map modifiers and extra Rare Monsters from Stabilised Unstable Breaches.

Tablets

Use three Breach Tablets for the normal setup. Each Tablet can carry four modifiers, so the goal is to run the same modifier profile on all three Tablets for the strategy you are farming. On City maps, use a fourth Tablet when Industrial Improvements is active and the map is worth the extra investment.

Regular Breach Tablets

Normal Breaches are still part of the Wombgift plan, but that does not mean regular Breach Tablets should be bought around Wombgift quantity. Keep the regular Tablet profile focused on monster value and extra Stabilised rares unless you are specifically switching into Hive or Stronghold targets.

Use Wraeclast Besieged as an optional value Tablet when it is cheaper than comparable rare Breach Tablets. It is a unique Breach Tablet with extra Hiveborn waves for Hives, reduced Breach pack size, Unstable Breaches taking 120 additional seconds to collapse after the timer is filled, and Unstable Breaches spawning 2 to 5 additional Rare Monsters when Stabilised. The reduced pack size means this is a deliberate tradeoff, not an automatic upgrade.

Stronghold Tablets

Do not prioritize Unstable Breaches in Map spawn an additional Rare Monster when Stabilised for Stronghold targets. It is aimed at regular Unstable Breaches, while Stronghold maps want Hiveblood, Wombgift, and Ailith/Hive scaling.

Waystones

Use Waystones with monster-value modifiers rather than treating Breach as a pure quantity farm. For crafting setup, see Waystones.

Rewards and Profit

Catalysts	Breach-exclusive currency that adds quality affecting certain modifiers on jewellery or jewels.
Experience	Regular Breach farming with many extra rare monsters is a strong experience setup if your character clears safely.

Common Mistakes and Tips

Mistake	Fix
Using the same Tablet suffixes for regular Breaches and Hives.	Split the setup: extra Stabilised rare monsters for regular Breaches; Hiveblood, Wombgifts, and Wombgift level for Hives and Strongholds.
Overvaluing Wraeclast Besieged without reading the downside.	It adds rare monsters and Hive waves, but also has reduced Breach pack size. Use it when that tradeoff fits the map.
Running Hives without enough damage or control.	Protect Ailith first. If she dies, the Hive remains.
Spending four Tablets on mediocre maps.	Save the fourth Tablet for City maps with strong Waystones or valuable Hive/Stronghold targets.
Treating profit as fixed.	Catalyst, Wombgift, and Breachstone prices can move. Check the market before buying expensive Tablets in bulk.
